Chemistry 130 at the University of Arizona is a challenging mix of general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry. It gives students in pre-nursing and public health tracks medical, nutritional, and environmental insights into these fundamental areas of chemistry. The class uses current topics in health sciences to guide students through problems that develop critical thinking, pattern recognition, and problem solving skills.
Because the class combines three aspects of chemistry that are traditionally each taught over two semesters, the course moves extremely quickly, and is completely cumulative. Often when students fall behind, it’s because instead of getting help when they begin to struggle, they tried to make due with limited understanding, not realizing that the next topic is just an extension of the one before.
We have created a support program for Chemistry 130 that is specific to the class as taught at the University of Arizona. We know the material, the class, and the professor very well, and we can help guide students through the rigorous course to ensure they’re able to earn the grades that will keep them competitive in their future careers.
Chemistry 151, or “Chemical Thinking” at the University of Arizona has quite the reputation. It’s often referred to as a “weed out” class for freshmen and sophomores.
In this course students will obtain a qualitative understanding about the chemical aspects.
